You can keep your bones healthy and stop progressive bone loss by eating foods rich in Calcium. Although supplements are available and recommended, it is believed that naturally occurring Calcium is the best way to get the Calcium the body needs.
Foods rich in Calcium include canned fish, such as salmon and sardines with bones, broccoli, ice cream, yogurt, cheese, cream, milk, tofu, rhubarb, collard greens, spinach, turnip greens, okra, white beans, baked beans, peas, Brussels sprouts, sesame seeds and almond.
If you don’t have time to achieve recommended doses of calcium through calcium-rich foods, you may consider calcium-fortified products, calcium breakfast shakes or supplements.
